Bozell: When GOP Leadership Fights For Conservative Principles “We Will Enthusiastically Support Them”

February 5, 2013

“If they hold firm…things may be changing for the better in Washington.”

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – ForAmerica Chairman L. Brent Bozell III today released a statement in response Speaker John Boehner’s opposition to replacing any of the spending cuts in the sequester.

“Finally, Speaker Boehner and the House Republicans are starting to sound like a majority,” Bozell said. “When they fight for conservative principles, we will enthusiastically support them.  They need to stick with it, they have the law on their side, and it was President Obama who forced the sequester cuts.  If Speaker Boehner and the Republicans will fight, ForAmerica and its 3.5 million supporters will stand with them.  If they hold firm and ensure that real spending cuts are made in the midst of runaway debts and deficits, with no tax increases, then things may be changing for the better in Washington.”
