Cuomo: People Say 'You Didn’t Fact-Check the Democrats — They Are Not Lying the Way Trump Does'

As CNN wrapped-up night one of the Republican National Convention on Monday, host Chris Cuomo defended his company doing less “fact checks” for the Democratic National Convention a week earlier than they have been doing for the Republican convention this week.

Cuomo said Republicans and President Donald Trump simply lie more than Democrats.

“[A]gain, well, who are people going to believe?" Cuomo said. "We’ll see who makes the better case."

"And yeah, you can fact-check it to death," he continued. "We could fact-check this convention all night."

Then he laid it all out.

Cuomo said, "People were saying you didn’t fact-check the Democrats. They are not lying, the way Trump does."

Wow. He continued, "Do politicians lie? Of course, both parties engage in it. Yes, I’ll give you the full ‘Guilfoyle.’ But not like Donald Trump."

"Nobody lies the way this man does, has, and will that I’ve ever seen in politics," Cuomo finished. "So — he’s lying to you.”

In the 1990's, many conservatives would refer to CNN as the "Clinton News Network" and the cable giant would deny that they had any bias.

Now one of the more prominent personalities on CNN says outright that they believe Democrats more than Republicans. He says this boastfully.
