When you walk into a Bass Pro Shop and you see a federal agent...

...you walk right back out.

It's funny but it's also true - they could be spying on you at your local Bass Pro.

Rep. Jim Jordan highlighted recently that the federal government flagged terms like “MAGA” and “TRUMP."

But also people who shopped at Bass Pro Shops.

It sounds unbelievable but it has actually happened.

And it's not just Bass Pro. Other similar sporting goods stores were also flagged by the feds as gathering places for possible domestic threats.

"Do you shop at Cabela’s or Dick’s Sporting Goods?" HotAir asked this week. "Have you ever bought anything with MAGA on it or from anybody whose business includes the term? Are you a hunter or a sports shooter?"

"If so, you will be happy to know that the federal government’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network tasked financial institutions to spy on you and send your purchase and travel history to the feds," the news outlet noted.

The Daily Mail reported this week, "Treasury Department officials suggested that banks review transactions at sporting and recreational supplies stores like Cabela's, Dick's Sporting Goods and Bass Pro Shops in order 'to detect customers whose transactions may reflect 'potential active shooters.'" 

It should be noted warrantless targeting of citizens like this by the federal government is completely illegal and unconstitutional.

Not that the government cares.
