Why Isn't the Media Talking About the 'Far-Right' Gov. Whitmer 'Kidnappers' Being Acquitted?

Remember in October 2020 when rightwing militia members were arrested for allegedly plotting to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer?

Back then, the establishment media couldn't stop telling Americans that this was then President Donald Trump's fault. We were told that rightwing extremists posed a threat across the country and that increased surveillance and law enforcement efforts would be needed.

This supposed MAGA threat loomed large in the minds of Democrats and political pundits. They couldn't stop talking about it.

But what you have probably heard little to nothing about is the men charged with this crime were acquitted on Friday. In fact, the FBI helped orchestrate the plot.

The defendants claimed entrapment. The jury agreed with them and refused to convict.

But don't expect to hear about this from Democrats or the media.

As independent and left-leaning journalist Glenn Greenwald noted:

The media's mission is to drive narratives that serve the left's agenda. Whether or not the narratives are true is an afterthought. See Russia collusion, Hunter Biden's laptop, the Jussie Smollett hoax, smearing the Covington Catholic School kids as racists... leftist journalists run with these stories without doing their job of digging deeper to find out if they are actually true.

If they turn out not to be true, the media ignores what they had reported prior. No accountability. No honesty. No truth.

Because basic integrity doesn't serve the left's agenda.

This phenomenon can be seen in real time in this video that went viral last week, where CNN's Brian Stelter comically sits under a huge "disinformation" logo. When a college student challenges him on CNN's long history of disinformation, Stelter never answers the young man's questions directly - or at all.

The reason you are hearing very little about the defendants in the Whitmer kidnapping plot being acquitted is because it does nothing to further left narratives. If they can't scare Americans into believing violent rightwing extremists threaten them, the media will simply say nothing at all. Let's move on. Nothing to see here. Hey, isn't Elon Musk is a rightwing terrorist? That sounds good.

The media's mission is to impose a progressive agenda on us all. Forever and always. Truth and actual news be damned.
