Kamala Harris is blaming Donald Trump for the anti-ICE protests that have turned into riots in Los Angeles.
A California sheriff is saying out loud how stupid this is.
“President Trump didn’t start these riots. He’s not out there lighting cars on fire, hurling projectiles at law enforcement or blocking freeways,” posted Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco.
He wrote this in a post on X as he shared Harris’ comments.
Bianco said, “This statement is an embarrassment and does nothing to diffuse the violent riots taking place across the city.”
“The Democrats and their leaders own this,” he added.
As the riots persisted, President Trump deployed the National Guard to stop the violence.
Harris said of Trump's actions, “Los Angeles is my home. And like so many Americans, I am appalled at what we are witnessing on the streets of our city."
She accused Trump of "stoking fear."
“Deploying the National Guard is a dangerous escalation meant to provoke chaos," Harris said. “I don’t want people to fall into the chaos that I believe is being created by the administration completely unnecessarily,” she griped.
Bianco is running for governor in 2026.
Anti-ICE protesters have been throwing rocks at law enforcement, blocking highways, burning cars and other kinds of vandalism and violence.
On Sunday night, police ordered protesters to go home.
California Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass have also blamed Trump for deploying the National Guard.
President Trump, on the other hand, has called the rioters “violent, insurrectionist mobs.”
“Looking really bad in L.A. BRING IN THE TROOPS!!!” Trump said on Truth Social.
“ARREST THE PEOPLE IN FACE MASKS, NOW!” he added.
That California leaders would attack Trump for trying to stop the riots tells you all you need to know about them, with Kamala Harris at the top of that list. They're incompetent.
The sheriff is right.
Imagine if this woman, the former vice president, had become president? Especially in situations like this?
Thankfully, we don't have to.
