Karine Jean-Pierre: Biden Was Always ‘Truthful’ About Pardoning Son

Remember all those times President Joe Biden and his Press Secretary said that Hunter Biden would not receive a pardon? Over and over again?

Yeah, apparently this White House doesn't remember at all.

On Monday, Jean-Pierre told a reporter that Biden was being “truthful” with the American people when it came to pardoning his son.

There is no video of the exchange, but there is audio featured in the X post below:

When Jean-Pierre was pressed about the president's controversial blanket pardoning of his felon son, that covers an entire eleven years of potential criminal activity, she said, “One of the things that the president always believes is to be truthful to the American people. That is something that he always truly believes.”

Oh really?

Apparently this never happened:

Or this:

Biden said in his statement after the pardon was announced, “Here’s the truth: I believe in the justice system, but as I have wrestled with this, I also believe raw politics has infected this process and it led to a miscarriage of justice – and once I made this decision this weekend, there was no sense in delaying it further,” Biden said. “I hope Americans will understand why a father and a President would come to this decision.”

Jean-Pierre said on Monday, with a straight face, that Biden's plan was to “publicly say he would not pardon his son even though doing so remained on the table.”

In other words, he lied.

That's being "truthful" according to Jean-Pierre.

She continued, “He believes in the Justice Department. This is his words. He said this. This is the president saying this.”

The press secretary added, “What I can speak to is this particular case, which is Hunter Biden, who has the last name of the president, who, I just said, there were political opponents who were very clear and very vocal about going after his son.”

She said the president believed there was "rot" and too much politics in the DOJ.

The reporter asked, “He’s saying his own Justice Department is broken?”

“He believes in the Justice Department," she repeated.

"He just said it’s infected with politics!” the reporter noted.

The reporter followed up, "How many selective prosecutions are there at the DOJ?”

Jean-Pierre replied, "I can’t speak to that."

These people have no shame. Lying directly to Americans' faces for years and then pretending we didn't hear what we heard straight from their mouths.

Joe Biden's presidency can't end soon enough.
