Kevin O'Leary Calls Kamala Harris a 'Loser' and CNN Panel Can't Take It

Businessman Kevin O'Leary upset a CNN panel on Tuesday when he called Kamala Harris a "loser."

As the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee, Harris lost the election to Donald Trump, who won handily. No one can dispute that.

But the "Shark Tank" star said it was much worse than merely losing.

O'Leary said Harris got "slaughtered."

O'Leary noted that Harris was just appointed and had not competed in a Democratic primary.

“They did not run a process. They picked a loser, and she lost, and she got slaughtered because they didn‘t run a process,” O’Leary said.

Podcaster Van Latham did not like that, replying “Whoa, whoa, whoa. First of all, first of all, first of all, like, let’s just make sure that we maintain some respect for Kamala Harris.”

Democratic strategist Karen Finney agreed with Latham. “The former vice president of the United States,” she said.

Latham added, “Referring to her as a loser, I think referring to her as a loser...”

There was lots of crosstalk, but O'Leary didn't budge.

“She was never elected in the process,” O’Leary said, “She should have run against other contenders.”

CNN personality Bakari Sellers said to O'Leary, “And lastly, lastly, there’s nothing about Kamala Harris that’s a loser. Let’s just put a pin on that.

O’Leary shot back, “No, I think there is. She lost big time.”

Finney said O'Leary was being disrespectful to the former vice president.

He disagreed. “I’m not being disrespectful! I’m talking facts! She got slaughtered because they disavowed the process. They anointed her and she got slaughtered." "We don’t have to debate facts," he added. "We do not have to debate facts.”

That's when host Abby Phillip thought she had a moment of clarity.

“Hold on a second. Hold on a second. Kevin, Kevin, just one point of clarification: she was elected in the 2020 election along with Joe Biden,” Phillip said.

O'Leary responded, “She was not elected as president of the United States because she was anointed into that position.”

What O'Leary said was true.

But the various CNN panelists emotional reaction to it might have said a lot more. Kamala Harris by any metric was one of the worst candidates in modern American political history.

Which is what Kevin O'Leary was saying. If Democrats can't acknowledge this and learn from it, then that's on them.
