"Shark Tank" personality Kevin O'Leary had to fact-check CNN panelists on Wednesday after they criticized the economy under Donald Trump.
Podcaster Kmele Foster said that Trump's tariffs have led to job losses. Then others started talking about supposed job losses.
That's when O'Leary jumped in.
“What are you talking about?" O-Leary said. "There’s no job loss in America."
O'Leary added, “We’re almost at full employment. We’re almost at full — what are you talking about?!”
Former reality star Jennifer Welch insisted that Trump has done "brand damage" to the economy.
O'Leary said to her, “The economy is on fire! What are you talking about?”
Welch continued, “He’s doing brand damage — brand damage to the American brand. We are a laughingstock. We’re a laughingstock in Europe, a laughingstock in Asia. If you’re inside the Trump bubble and you’re on Twitter with all the bros, it hits hard. It’s really good.”
O'Leary replied, “That’s not what the numbers say. The number one destination for invested capital on earth is still over 50% in America tonight."
"Tonight. Right now," O'Leary added. "So I don’t know what you‘re talking about a laughingstock. The money pours in, trillions of dollars comes to America. Why? Best place to invest on earth. Why? The economy is on fire.”
This wouldn't be the first time information was just made up on the spot on CNN and thankfully Kevin O'Leary was there to inject a dose of reality into the conversation.
