Let's Cut Some Spending: Make Israel aid come out of IRS funding

In our Let's Cut Some Spending series, ForAmerica chronicles the many ways Washington wastes YOUR tax dollars - and as you’ll see, the list is endless.

This one is a great idea.

Today’s offering: Cut $14 billion in IRS funding to go toward Israel aid!

NBC News reports:

In his first major move, House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is using the bipartisan goal of providing aid to Israel to pick a fight with President Joe Biden over his signature achievement.
A new bill House Republicans released Monday includes $14.3 billion in emergency funding for Israel while rescinding the same amount of IRS funding from the Inflation Reduction Act, a major climate, health care and tax law Biden signed last year.
The new GOP bill is slated for consideration by the Rules Committee when the House returns Wednesday, with a vote in the full chamber expected as early as this week.

YES! Instead of having $14 billion in new spending go toward Israel aid...

...WHY NOT have that aid be $14 billion that is set to go to the IRS through the ridiculously misnamed 'Inflation Reduction Act?'

Literally NO ONE asked for this IRS funding and expansion - so cut it.

A no brainer, and a smart first move by the new Speaker.
