It was announced on Monday that MSNBC will change its name to My Source News Opinion World or "MS NOW."
As rating plummeted for the channel after the 2024 election, Comcast decided to recategorize its NBCUniversal channels, including MSNBC, CNBC, E! and SyFy.
So, now MSNBC will have a new name.
Conservatives on social media on Monday couldn't get enough of it.
Nobody wanted MSNBC anymore.
Morning host Joe Scarborough said that the new logo "looks very sporty" and that by branching off from NBC "shows we're independent."
Yeah, right.
Probably the channel's biggest star, Rachel Maddow said of the change, "If there was ever a time for us to change our name, this is it, because we're not just separating from NBC News in corporate terms."
"We're competing with them now," she insisted.
A fair point.
Megyn Kelly also had an important point.
So, a new name...
But the same old hosts talking about the same old subjects...
That all coalesce around hating President Donald Trump.
People weren't watching for a reason to begin with. Let's see how this goes for the old MSNBC.
