Scott Jennings Slams Left’s Support for Nazi-Tattooed Dem Candidate

Republican strategist Scott Jennings explained on Wednesday why Democratic Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner is still supported by the Democratic Party despite the fact that he has a Nazi tattoo.

Jennings said that Democrats simply want the more far-left candidates and Platner fits that bill.

Platner has been seen in some old photos and videos with a chest tattoo that appears to be connected to Nazi symbolism.

Which hasn't been much of a deterrent for Democrats, the same people who never miss an opportunity to call President Trump or Republicans Nazis.

But a Democrat with an actual Nazi tattoo? They're apparently fine with him.

Platner claims he got the tattoo while serving in the Marines and was drunk at the time.

Jennings said that far-left Democrats like Platner more than his primary opponent, Democratic Maine Gov. Janet Mills.

Democrats are running to be the nominee that will challenge incumbent Republican Senator Susan Collins in the general election.

Jennings said during a segment with CNN contributor and Democrat adviser Paul Begala, “If you’ve seen the online discourse around this candidacy, this guy is the favorite of the radical left base of the Democratic Party."

"They are standing by him despite the fact he has a literal Nazi tattoo on his chest and he’s made abhorrent comments in some of these Reddit threads that he’s been involved in,” he added.

Jennings continued, “They are unwilling to walk away from it because they want the candidates who are the most radical and the most progressive and they are willing to put up with Nazi symbolism and other terrible remarks because of it.”

“This is their guy," Jennings insisted. "I don’t think they’re going to walk away from him. Paul's (Begala) right — the popular Mills, I guess, is going to be in this primary."

"Look at your friends this morning, Paul,” he continued. “Look what they’re saying about this guy. They want the Democratic Party to stand next to him because they think he’s the bigger fighter. He’s the non-establishment guy."

"And they’re willing to overlook the Nazi stuff over it?" Jennings questioned. "I don’t know.”

Begala conceded that Jennings had “a good point” but said there was a difference between how Democratic voters behave online and in real life at the ballot box.

Despite the Nazi tattoo, self-described socialist Senator Bernie Sanders has endorsed Platner.

So remember...

Democrats will call Republicans Nazis endlessly without a shred of evidence or rationale to their accusations...

But a far-left progressive candidate with an actual Nazi tattoo?

That gets a pass.

The American Left in 2025, ladies and gentleman. What a dark place to be.
