Socialist Mamdani Tells New Yorkers to 'Stand Up' to ICE

President Donald Trump vowed to secure America's borders and largely has, getting public support in doing so.

Deporting illegal aliens has been a major part of this effort. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have done their duty in that role.

But now New York City's socialist mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani it telling his constituents to "stand up" to ICE.

He made his comments in a video shared on the X on Sunday.

“Know your rights. Protect your neighbors. New York is — and always will be — a city for all immigrants,” Mamdani said.

He appeared to be telling New Yorkers to push back on ICE.

Mamdani seemed too worried that ICE was violating people's right.

“Last weekend, ICE attempted to raid Canal Street and detain our immigrant neighbors," he said. "As mayor, I’ll protect the rights of every single New Yorker, and that includes the more than three million immigrants who call this city their home."

"Immigrants." Legal or illegal? Mamdani wasn't specific and of course he wasn't.

But he did insist New Yorkers "stand up" to ICE.

“But we can all stand up to ICE if you know your rights," the mayor-elect insisted. "If you encounter ICE, these are the things that every New Yorker should know. First, ICE cannot enter into private spaces like your home, school, or private area of your workplace without a judicial warrant signed by a judge."

Mamdani went on with his instructions on how to resist ICE.

“If ICE does not have a judicial warrant, signed by a judge, you have the right to say, ‘ I do not consent to entry,’ and the right to keep your door closed,” he added.

The soon-to-be NYC mayor also said, “You are legally allowed to film ICE as long as you do not interfere with an arrest. It is important to remain calm during any interaction with ICE or law enforcement."

New York City has problems with illegal immigration just like the rest of the country. President Trump is finally addressing this long ignored problem.

Now it will soon have a mayor who is becoming part of the problem.
