'The View's' Ana Navarro Throws Tantrum Over Melania Trump Letter to Putin

Democrats have been upset all week that Donald Trump might be successful in brokering a peace between Russia and Ukraine and ending that years-long war. The president met with Ukraine head Volodymyr Zelensky and Russia's Vladimir Putin this week, along with other European leaders.

Imagine wanting a war to continue purely for cheap, partisan reasons. Unfortunately, we don't have to imagine, as Ana Navarro reminded us.

First Lady Melania Trump sent a personal letter to Putin after he met with her husband on Friday. She urged an end to the war because hundreds of thousands had died, including over 500 children.

That's what set Navarro off. Seriously.

'The View' might be on hiatus, but the co-host had to get it off her chest how upset she was at the First Lady.

Navarro began, “This all falls under the category of stuff that’s so hypocritical you almost can’t believe it."

She began reading parts of Mrs. Trump's letter, “As leaders, the responsibility to sustain our children extends beyond the comfort of a few. Undeniably, we must strive to paint a dignity-filled world for all, so that every soul may wake to peace, and so that the future itself is perfectly guarded."

"A simple yet profound concept, Mr. Putin, as I’m sure you agree, is that each generation’s descendants begin their lives with a purity and innocence which stands above geography, government, and ideology," the letter read.

Navarro thinks this is hypocritical because of how President Trump is handling illegal immigration in the U.S.

'The View' personality said, “Think about what her husband, Donald Trump, is doing to the children of immigrants in America — and to U.S. citizen children of immigrants."

“How many of those children are living with the fear of their parents being dragged through the streets of America, their car windows smashed in, their parents beaten by masked men and disappeared?" she claimed.

Navarro said that “the children in the LA school system that have been grabbed by ICE” and that “the Brazilian boy in Massachusetts who was going to soccer practice when he was grabbed by ICE.”

Other ticket items for Navarro include this administration cutting welfare and and ditching the USAID foreign aid program.

The over 500 dead children in the Ukraine-Russia conflict that Melania Trump was concerned with?

Navarro barely touched on that.

She instead used Mrs. Trump's gesture of goodwill and peace and turned into a Trump bashfest.

Americans of any political persuasion should hope peace is ahead in that part of the world. War and death are issues weightier than the shallow opinion of some butter talk show host.

May both President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump's diplomatic efforts bear fruit.
