The Wackiest Left Reactions to the Supreme Court's Pro-Gun, New York Decision

On Thursday, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that New York's current state gun control laws were too strict and thus unconstitutional. New York currently makes it difficult for citizens to obtain a license to carry a concealed handgun.

Fox News reported, "The existing standard required an applicant to show 'proper cause' for seeking a license, and allowed New York officials to exercise discretion in determining whether a person has shown a good enough reason for needing to carry a firearm. Stating that one wished to protect themselves or their property was not enough."

So it was a good day for the Second Amendment.

Justice Clarence Thomas wrote in the Court's opinion, referencing two previous gun cases, "In this case, petitioners and respondents agree that ordinary, law-abiding citizens have a similar right to carry handguns publicly for their self-defense. We too agree, and now hold, consistent with Heller and McDonald, that the Second and Fourteenth Amendments protect an individual’s right to carry a handgun for self-defense outside the home."

Thomas concluded, "Because the State of New York issues public-carry licenses only when an applicant demonstrates a special need for self-defense, we conclude that the State’s licensing regime violates the Constitution."

All hail the U.S. Constitution! But not everyone was happy.

In fact, many on the Left lost their ever-loving minds.

Let's start with New York's governor:

Muskets. Yep. That'll help.

Of course Biden was upset.

Too bad, Joe, the Constitution matters.

Some were upset New Yorkers would have better Second Amendment rights.

Then came the truly crazy.

This guy:

Why not throw in some sexism!

To be sure, the Left will continue to lose it over this decision.

On this issue, constitutionalists and Second Amendment advocates should be glad instating that right to protect our families and property belongs to all American citizens.
