Trump Boosts Troops' Spirits in Qatar: 'We Don't Care if You're Politically Correct'

During his current tour of the Middle East, President Trump took time to speak with American troops stationed in Qatar.

The military members at Al Udeid Air Base in Doha seemed to love it, chanting "U.S.A" before the president spoke.

Lee Greenwood's "Proud to Be an American" played as service members took out their phones to record the event.

Trump cited some of the military changes his administration is making, like reinstating members who were expelled for not taking the COVID vaccinations. He said they also ended “training sessions on political correctness,” another military policy under the Biden administration.

“We don’t care if you’re politically correct,” Trump told the troops.

Trump said now that the Biden administration is history, the military is now seeing more recruits.

“Six months ago we couldn’t get people to join the military," the President said. "Nobody wanted your job."

"Now everybody wants your job," he added.

NewsNation reported in February that Army recruitment was seeing "record highs" after Trump's win.

Trump said there was “a whole new spirit” in America now, and that had a lot to do with strengthening the military.

“Under the Trump administration, America is back and America’s military is back bigger, better, and stronger than ever before,” he said.

It was a festive environment. So much so that popular podcaster Theo Von was there as well, taking photos with the troops.

Apparently, he was asked to come along for the Middle East ride!

President Trump also told the men and women in attendance that his priority is to avoid war.

“As president, my priority is to end conflicts, not start them,” Trump said. “But I will never hesitate to wield American power if it’s necessary to defend the United States of America or our partners.”

“We have overwhelming strength and devastating force," he added.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth introduced the President, telling the audience, "We have the greatest commander in chief possible in the Oval Office — It's always my message to the troops, THIS MAN HAS YOUR BACK!"

Trump spoke for 47 minutes, but the overwhelmingly positive reaction of the military members over Trump visiting spoke to something too.

This is a growing and stronger U.S. military with a new Commander-In-Chief at its helm.
