Trump Hits Back on Rosie: 'She Left Our Country, Which Is a Good Thing'

President Donald Trump was asked by a reporter on Saturday about recent comments made by former American talk host Rosie O'Donnell, who now lives in Ireland after he was elected for a second term. O'Donnell made her comments during an interview with Chris Cuomo.

Trump said O'Donnell leaving the United States was a "good thing."

The President was glad she self-deported. He also had a few other things to say.

“Rosie O’Donnell, she went on Chris Cuomo’s show recently — she blamed you for the fact that she’s overweight, depressed, and drunk,” a reporter said to the president.

“What do you say to that?” the reporter asked.

Trump replied, “I don’t know about Rosie. I watch Rosie, Rosie’s a mess."

"She’s a mess," he said. "She left our country, which is a good thing, not a bad thing.”

During her interview with Cuomo, O'Donnell said of her personal situation while Trump was in office, “I was very, very depressed. I was overeating. I was overdrinking."

"It hurt my heart that America believed the lies about him," O'Donnell said. "And then it broke my heart to be in a business that creates and sells those lies for profit."

One can assume O'Donnell meant the entertainment business, in which Trump has done may things including being the host of the show, The Apprentice.

Trump had said prior on Truth Social, “Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship."

"She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her," he added. "GOD BLESS AMERICA!"

O'Donnell's response to Trump' this was pure, leftist identity politics drivel.

“Hey donald - you’re rattled again? 18 years later and I still live rent-free in that collapsing brain of yours, ” O’Donnell wrote on an Instagram post.

“You call me a threat to humanity - but I’m everything you fear: a loud woman a queer woman a mother who tells the truth an american who got out of the country b4 u set it ablaze.”
