Many who work in federal agencies don't like the idea of Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) poking around and looking for things to cut.
That's the entire point. If taxpayer dollars are being wasted, Musk is supposed to put a stop to it.
It's his job.
On Tuesday, with Musk and his young son standing right next to Trump's Oval Office desk, Trump signed an executive order that MAKES these agencies agree to work with DOGE.
The New York Post reports, "President Trump is set to sign an order Tuesday instructing the Department of Government Efficiency to potentially toss entire federal agencies — and hire only one federal worker to replace every four who leave."
"DOGE will ask agency heads to coordinate with the team being lead by Elon Musk and 'shrink the size of the federal workforce and limit hiring to essential positions,'” the Post noted.
The report continued, "Entire agencies and part of agencies may be eliminated because their functions aren’t required by law, says the readout... Personnel relating to national security, public safety, law enforcement and immigration enforcement are exempt from the order."
Trump really does mean business in reforming our bloated and broken federal government.
The Post continued, "Trump implemented a hiring freeze as soon as he took office Jan. 20 on all civilian federal jobs and instructed DOGE and the director of the Office of Management and Budget to come up with a plan in 90 days to reduce the size of the government."
"Upon the expiration of that job freeze, the fact sheet states, 'Agencies will be able to hire no more than one employee for every four employees that depart from federal service (with appropriate immigration, law enforcement, and public safety exceptions),'" the report added.
Finding corruption and waste throughout so many federal agencies is a fiscal conservatives' dream!

Musk is just getting started.
It's not optional... it's essential.
America was happy.
And America should be.
How many decades - under how many presidencies of both parties - has the federal government robbed taxpayers blind?
So much money wasted, but no one dared to lift a finger to challenge this bureaucracy.
President Donald Trump is doing better than a finger. He's bringing down the hammer.
And that hammer is Elon Musk.
Watch out, Washington. He's coming.
The president just made sure of it.
