Trump Vowed to Defund Planned Parenthood. An Obama Judge Just Blocked It

President Donald Trump promised to end the federal funding of Planned Parenthood and Congress voted to block those funds as part as the latest budget.
The law of the land, if you will.
On Tuesday, an Obama-appointed federal judge blocked the Trump administration from enforcing this provision in 22 states.
We guess judges just make their own laws now.
Reuters reports, "U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani in Boston said a group of Democratic state attorneys general who had challenged the provision were likely to succeed in establishing that the law constitutes an unconstitutional retroactive condition on their participation in the Medicaid healthcare program."
"Talwani called the law 'impermissibly ambiguous,' and said that allowing it to remain in effect would 'increase the percentage of patients unable to receive birth control and preventive screenings, thereby prompting an increase in states’ healthcare costs," the report continued.
Can she do this?
Good question.
This is not the first time this judge has blocked Trump's provisions.
In October, Judge Talwani also blocked Trump's cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) during the government shutdown.
President Obama appointed Talwani in 2013.
In principle, American tax dollars should not be funding abortions. Period.
In law, the executive and legislative branches have already decided this.
Can a federal judge - can Judge Talwani, who obviously has her own agenda - simply override the president and Congress and rule from the bench?
We're about to find out.
