Vanity Fair Staff Vow to 'Walk Out' the Door if Melania Trump is Put On Cover

Melania Trump is the First Lady of the United States and a beautiful former model to boot.

One would think she would have already appeared on the cover of fashion and culture magazine Vanity Fair multiple times. Michelle Obama and Jill Biden have appeared on the cover multiple times.

But the current First Lady has not. But when it was recently suggested that Mrs. Trump be put on the cover, one magazine editor threatened to walk out and take half their staff with him.

This person would rage quit, apparently.

The UK's Daily Mail reported Monday that new Vanity Fair Global Editorial Director Mark Guiducci floated the idea of putting Trump on its cover. 

Another anonymous editor told the outlet, "I will walk out the motherf****** door, and half my staff will follow me."

If you ever needed proof how out of touch elites are, here you go.

Fox News reports, "Trump was notably excluded from Vanity Fair and Condé Nast’s Vogue during her husband’s first presidency, despite both magazines frequently spotlighting first ladies. She did appear on the cover of Vanity Fair Mexico in 2017."

The report observed, "Former First Lady Michelle Obama appeared on Vogue's cover three times during President Barack Obama’s two terms in office and Jill Biden landed two Vogue covers during President Joe Biden’s term."

A staffer told the Daily Mail that the anger was all about politics. "We are not going to normalize this despot and his wife; we’re just not going to do it. We’re going to stand for what’s right," the staffer said.

The anonymous editor told the Daily Mail, "If I have to work bagging groceries at Trader Joe’s, I’ll do it. If (Guiducci) puts Melania on the cover, half of the editorial staff will walk out, I guarantee it."

If saner heads prevail and Melania Trump is put on the cover of Vanity Fair it will probably be one of their best selling editions to date.

But that would mean also serving half of America, over 77 million who voted for Donald Trump in 2024. Most Democrats have been content just to try and ignore these people altogether. Some on staff at Vanity Fair appear to be content to keep things this way.

Yet at least someone there thinks there might be a better path.

Vanity Fair should put the First Lady on the cover and make sure that anyone who walks out over it never comes back.

People that small are definitely replaceable.
