When Donald Trump won his re-election, Elon Musk began to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to find as much waste and abuse of government spending as possible.
His team found billions.
But all DOGE could ever do is recommend what to cut. It takes Congress to actually makes the cuts.
And before that it takes the White House to make the request for the cuts.
It looks like that's finally happening.
Fox News reported Wednesday, "The White House is expected to send a federal spending cut proposal to Congress next week, two Republican sources told Fox News Digital on Wednesday."
"It is the latest move by Republican officials to make good on promises to slash government spending, a project spearheaded by President Donald Trump and Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)," the report noted.
More: "The proposal is called a 'rescissions package,' a vehicle for the president to block funds that were already allocated by Congress in its yearly appropriations process. Once transmitted to Capitol Hill, lawmakers have 45 days to take it up before it's voided."
The amount of suggested cuts is reported to be roughly $9.4 billion.
According to Axios, those cuts will primarily be for federal funding to NPR, PBS and the U.S. Agency for International Development.
This is good news. Because if Republicans can't get this done...
What are they even for, anymore?
Why should the GOP even exist?
Exactly.
Many agree.
Yes.
The reaction is "BS."
Elon Musk has been out front on this and Rand Paul has his back.
Good point.
All talk?
LET'S GO!
