It was reported over the weekend that former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with advanced prostrate cancer.
While some have wondered about the timing of the announcement, most have wished Biden well and a speedy recovery.
But on Monday, Whoopi Goldberg expected her audience to believe that if Biden was still president, there was "no way" his administration would try to hide his cancer condition from the public.
'The View' co-host said, “I want to point out to people that had this been the case while he was president, there’s no way that you wouldn’t have known."
"Because he would’ve had to have these treatments," Goldberg added. "So this is not something that he was carrying around and that he was hiding... we know about his struggles. We know about his struggles and now we know about this one and I again want to commend the people who cut their tongues off and said ‘get well soon.'"
After Democrats, including Joe Biden himself, spent years telling us that Biden was mentally fit when he really wasn't, Goldberg doesn't think he might have lied about this too?
The praise for those saying "get well soon" from Goldberg was obviously in reference to President Trump.
Trump posted on Truth Social after the news of Biden's cancer broke:
Trump later had some valid questions about the doctors involved, who was being truthful or not and the timing of this news.
Including concerns about cognitive ability that his predecessor hid.
“If it’s the same doctor who said there was nothing wrong there, that’s being proven to be a sad situation,” Trump told reporters on Monday. “In other words, there are things going on that the public wasn’t informed. And I think somebody is going to have to speak to his doctor, if it’s the same or even if it’s two separate doctors."
"Why wasn’t the cognitive ability — why wasn’t that discussed?" the president added. "I think the doctors said he’s just fine, and it’s turned out that’s not so. It’s very dangerous. Look, this is no longer politically correct. This is dangerous for our country.”
Trump is not wrong to ask questions. He's not the only one doing so right now.
But to Whoopi Goldberg's remarks. There is nothing about the behavior of the Biden administration that would indicate they would absolutely be honest about his state of health in any capacity, as they were dishonest about his mental abilities.
Here's hoping Joe Biden gets better, but we can say that and mean it without also rewriting history.
