Public comments of support are needed for Governor Youngkin's revised education policies

Updated: Oct 21, 2022

Virginia's education department under Governor Youngkin rewrote education policies on transgender-identifying students in public schools, that were written by the previous administration, in a way that protects and restores basic parental and student-safety rights.

Until these changes were made, parents were routinely cut out of the process.

Obviously, Youngkin's efforts to put parents back in the driver's seat when it comes to how transgender issues are handled at school is the wise policy and much needed.

But activists who want to go back to the old system and intentionally shut parents out are flooding the Virginia Regulatory Town Hall Public Comment Forum with comments against Youngkin's new guidelines to thwart their implementation.

So, attention Virginia parents and concerned citizens, it is CRUCIAL for our children that we voice our support for Youngkin's changes. Our voices must be represented.

You have until October 26 at 11:59 p.m. to show your support for Youngkin's new education policies. Let them know you want to see children protected and parents to be part of the process.
