AOC's Past Words Make Dems Look Like Hypocrites After Jimmy Kimmel Firing

Jimmy Kimmel was fired and his show canceled by ABC after the leftwing host told his audience Monday night that the late conservative pundit Charlie Kirk had been killed by a "MAGA" person.

At the time he said this, a suspect had already been identified as Tyler Robinson, a gay young man in a relationship with a man transitioning to being a woman.

Not exactly MAGA.

But Kimmel told this lie anyway - and then he got canned. Many of ABC's affiliates were reportedly upset. Many viewers were too. The FCC got involved.

All if this had Democrats howling, saying this was authoritarian, and fascist, and a line had been crossed.

Former President Barack Obama said Trump's FCC had taken things to "a new and dangerous level."

But this is nothing new. Democrats have advocated for using the government to censor figures and companies for a long time.

And celebrating major firings.

Which is exactly what Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez did when Fox News let Tucker Carlson go in 2023.

An old video resurfaced this week as Democrats complained about happened to Kimmel in which AOC gloated over Carlson's firing.

“Tucker Carlson is out at Fox News,” AOC began. “Couldn’t have happened to a better guy.”

“What I will say though, is, while I’m very glad that the person that is arguably responsible for... driving some of the most amounts of death threats and violent threats not just to my office, but to plenty of people across the country, I also kind of feel like I’m, like, waiting for the cutscene at the end of a marvel movie, after all the credits have rolled, and then you see, like, the villain’s, like, hand reemerge out to grip over, like, the end of a building or something."

"But, deplatforming works, and it is important, and there you go, good things can happen," she finished.

At another time, AOC said "we must reign in media," implying that the government needed to regulate speech.

Could you imagine if Kamala Harris won and AOC and her Democrat colleagues got to decide what we could watch, hear or read? In the name of stopping "misinformation."

Jimmy Kimmel disrespectfully saying that Charlie Kirk was killed by someone associated with MAGA was definitely misinformation, it upset a lot of people.

And now he's out of a job. That's how all this works.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez once thought Tucker Carlson spread misinformation (no one is perfect, but he's never spoken a lie as big or sickening as what Kimmel said) and he ultimately did leave Fox News.

AOC and Democrats don't have a leg to stand on right now in complaining about ABC's decision.

And they can't even see it. Hypocrites often can't.
