Today, ForAmerica announced its endorsement of Mayra Flores, candidate for the House of Representatives, to continue representing the 34th District of Texas. ForAmerica will engage its audience to act, because when ForAmerica engages, America wins.
ForAmerica President David Bozell said:
ForAmerica is proud to endorse Mayra Flores in her race for the United States House of Representatives. Mayra is a conservative you can count on to fight for life, liberty, and faith. As a Texan, she understands the importance of our Second Amendment rights, which are constantly under attack. And as a legal immigrant from Mexico who became a naturalized citizen, and also a wife of U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer, few probably understand the gravity of our broken borders more than Mayra.
Flores was born in Burgos Tamaulipas, Mexico and came to the U.S. when she was six years old. At a young age, her parents and grandparents instilled in her strong conservative values and to always put God and family first.
Flores is the current congresswoman for TX-34 after winning a special election in June. She sent shockwaves after her win, because her seat had historically been a Democratic stronghold. As the first Mexican-born woman to serve in Congress, she fights for opportunity and security for those in her district.
Bozell added:
Mayra has lived the American Dream. She understands that conservative policies, not liberal policies, help others to achieve their American Dreams. With her victory back in June, her constituency is realizing Democrats do nothing to earn their vote.
Flores is on the ballot in the general election on November 8. She is running against two other candidates: Vicente Gonzalez, Jr. (D) and Chris Royal (I).
Mayra Flores lives with her husband and their four children. ForAmerica looks forward to supporting her campaign and keeping her seat Republican throughout this election.
