Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said Democrats trying to ally with Republican after the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg should have thought about their actions before trying “to destroy Brett Kavanaugh’s life.”
“Being lectured by Democrats about how to handle judicial nominations is like an arsonist advising the Fire Department,” Graham tweeted on Sunday.
"Democrats chose to set in motion rules changes to stack the court at the Circuit level and they chose to try to destroy Brett Kavanaugh’s life to keep the Supreme Court seat open," Graham also wrote.
"You reap what you sow," he added.
Between college professor Christine Blasey Ford’s uncorroborated sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh and Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren that confirming him to the bench would lead to “back-alley abortions,” Democrats pulled out every stop to sink his nomination.
President Trump is having none of the Democrats current shenanigans or threats about holding up his choice to replace Ginsburg on the Supreme Court.
“We won,” President Trump said. “And we have an obligation, as the winners, to pick who we want.”
