This week, Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki an important question.
“Has President Biden ever been to the southern border?” Doocy asked.
“In his life?” Psaki replied, seemingly surprised. “I will have to look back in my history books and check the times he’s been to the southern border.”
“We have looked all morning and we can’t find any record of him as president, vice president, senator, or even as a concerned citizen,” Doocy pressed. “Why would that be?”
Psaki said she would look into it.
Did she?
Doocy followed up on Wednesday night, noting on Fox News that, "It has been about 7 hours since Jen Psaki said she would check the history books for a… Joe Biden visit to the border."
"We have not heard back," he said.
There was another daily White House press briefing on Thursday, as there is every day. At that briefing, Doocy did not follow up with Psaki on the previous day's question. We wish he had, and we're disappointed he did not, but perhaps he knows the answer already:
Consider the stunning reality that the United States President has never visited the United States Southern Border in his 40+ year career in politics.
