The border situation is far worse than the Biden Administration claimed it to be

In late June Vice President Kamala Harris made her first visit to the southern border. She toured immigration facilities in El Paso and said the Biden administration was making what she described as "extreme progress" in addressing the surge in migrants from Central America.

The real situation at the border is that things have gotten nothing but worse since Kamala Harris' visit. The number of migrants detained along the U.S.-Mexico border exceeded 200,000 for the first time in 21 years in July, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) enforcement data released Thursday.

Via Axios:

By the numbers: 212,672 migrants were taken into U.S. custody in July. Of those, 82,966 were family members, 18,962 were unaccompanied teenagers and children, and the rest were single adults.
Unaccompanied minors crossing the border increased 24% from June to July.
The average number of unaccompanied children in CBP custody was 1,363 per day in July, compared to a daily average of 794 in June.

If that's not enough to concern you, DHS Secretary Mayorkas visited the Texas border and told the agents that the current border situation "cannot continue." He said the federal government's system was not designed to handle such an influx of migrants as the U.S. has seen in recent months and he was "very well" aware that the sector recently came close to "breaking."

In leaked audio obtained by Bill Megulin from FoxNews through a Border Patrol Source, Mayorkas made even more concerning comments.

"A couple of days ago I was down in Mexico, and I said look, you know, if, if our borders are the first line of defense, we're going to lose and this is unsustainable, we can't continue like this, our people in the field cant continue and our system isn't built for it."

It's one thing to have to accept the bad decisions of the Democrat Party and the Biden Administration. It's another thing to have that same group lie about what is actually happening and then have it revealed by in leaked audio.

To use DHS Secretary Mayorkas' own words, WE CAN'T CONTINUE LIKE THIS.
