'The View' Hosts Debated Whether or Not They Could Be Friends with Trump Supporters

ABC's 'The View' is a long-running popular show with an all-female lineup of hosts.

It's also a show where the hosts regularly attack President Donald Trump. Like, all the time.

And it can get wacky quick.

On Thursday, the ladies had a discussion about whether or not they could be friends with Trump supporters.

You know, the guy who just won both the electoral and popular vote, and for whom millions of women voted for?

Co-host Joy Behar said, “I can be friends with a Trump supporter. I won’t give them a kidney, but I can be friends with them."

How tolerant of you, Joy!

“I mean, the thing about it is it’s not just about politics," she insisted, "It’s about morality, ethics, it’s about cruelty, it’s about discrimination, it’s about a lot of things. So those are personal human values."

That's pretty vague.

Panelist Sara Haines said that Trump voters only like him because they're in a news bubble.

(But apparently 'The View' isn't a bubble. That's the thing about bubbles, the people inside them can't see that they're inside them).

“When you go into their bubbles and you see the coverage they’re watching and the families and their churches, they’re not voting on this awful human being that you’re seeing over here, they’re voting on the way it’s captured with their own beliefs.

By the way, this is part of how the president spent his Thursday:

Joy Behar is DEFINITELY not handling the election well.

In fact, on Tuesday, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith - who is no fan of Trump - had to explain the "facts" of the election to a noticeably taken aback Behar.

Behar said of Trump, “He’s been going around with his cronies, touting his so-called landslide and blowout win, but he won the popular vote by 1.5 percent, one of the smallest ever, and he won the general election by less than 50 percent."

“So what kind of mandate is this really?” she asked.

Smith seemed to suggest that anyone who doesn't think Trump has a mandate is a fool.

“Let me be very clear, I’m no supporter of Trump, I’m a supporter of truth and the facts,” Smith said.

“Here’s the facts: The man won every swing state, he increased the voter turnout in his favor from the standpoint of blacks, Latinos, and young voters.”

“That’s a mandate. We can sit up here and play around if we want to,” he emphasized.

That was probably not the reply Behar was looking for.

Smith then put Trump's massive victory into historical context.

“In 2020 Trump didn’t win the popular vote,” Smith continued. “The Republicans hadn’t won the popular vote, if I remember correctly, since 2004. "

"But they did this year, so 20 years after they last won the popular vote, they won the popular vote, they won the electoral college vote, the man won every swing state..."

Over 77 million Americans voted for Trump in 2024. Millions of them are women.

Joy Behar says she can be friends with these voters, but no organ donations from her.

This is clearly not a serious woman, and it's bizarre that anyone would ever listen to her at all.
