Biden Aide Says Election 'Not Going To Be About Age'

Wikimedia Commons

A campaign aide for Joe Biden was recently asked by a reporter about the president's mental health and sharpness.

The answer? Don't talk about his age.

This election won't be about age.

Oh yeah?

Fox News reports:

President Biden’s principal deputy campaign manager, when pressed about the commander in chief's mental sharpness, argued the 2024 election 'is not going to be about age.'

The story continued:

'When it comes to the president’s age, we have a simple formula for that, and that’s results,' Quentin Fulks told ABC's "This Week" host Martha Raddatz. 'And you know, age equals wisdom, equals results and experience. And President Biden, because of his age, has come to the table and brought people together from both sides of the aisle to deliver results for the American people, whether it be a historic bipartisan infrastructure bill, whether it has been bringing people to the table for job creation, making sure that inflation is down – the president has been delivering results, and our best answer to this is to continue to communicate about the things that people care about, Americans care about.'
'This election is not going to be about age,' Fulks added. 'This election is about freedom and democracy, and the fact that Democrats under President Biden’s leadership believe that people deserve more freedom, not less. And Republicans want to roll that back and rip it away.'

Team Biden can spin it anyway they like, but one thing in 2024 is for sure...

This election is going to be about age. With Biden's increasingly obvious mental problems and the younger Trump still being up in years, age is going to be a factor.

Republican presidential primary candidate Nikki Haley still trails far behind Trump, but what is she doing at the moment as a Hail Mary shot before the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries?

She's questioning Trump's mental fitness.

Haley recently said:

'Do we really want to go into an election with two fellas that are gonna be president in their 80s? And that's not ageism that I'm saying here — we see that Biden has changed so much over two years.'

According to a new ABC News/Ipsos poll conducted this month 4-8, 69% of participants do not think Biden has the mental sharpness to be president.

In May 2020, only 43% thought this.

While both are older, Haley's latest attack might not stick when you watch how Biden acts compared to Trump, who seems far more composed and "with it."

The same cannot be said for Joe Biden.
