Today, ForAmerica announced its endorsement of Yesli Vega, candidate for the United States House of Representatives for Virginia’s 7th Congressional District. ForAmerica will engage its audience to act, because when ForAmerica engages, America wins.
ForAmerica President David Bozell said:
ForAmerica is proud to endorse Yesli Vega to represent Virginians in the U.S. House. Yesli is a conservative fighter who understands that our Constitutional system was created so that the three branches of government could place checks and balances on one another. Yesli is running to hold the Biden administration accountable. She will stand up for the right to life, the Second Amendment, her brothers and sisters in law enforcement, border security, limited government, student-centered education, election reform, and transparent and affordable healthcare.
As a law enforcement officer and military wife, Vega understands the importance of a strong police force and military. Born in Houston, Texas to Salvadoran immigrants, she also understands more than many that America’s southern border represents a humanitarian crisis that won’t be solved until it can be secured.
Vega joined the Prince William County Board of Supervisors in Virginia in 2018, where she helped defeat proposed gun control measures, significantly reduced property taxes, and championed government transparency.
According to Vega's campaign website, in Washington:
Yesli looks forward to fulfilling Congress' responsibility of being a check and balance on the woefully inept Biden administration. She will be a strong advocate for the timeless American ideals of freedom, limited government, and restoration of the rule of law.
It is hard to imagine a better Republican to replace the Democrat who is currently holding that seat. Yesli is the real deal. It's time for a Republican to represent Virginia’s 7th, and Yesli is exactly who is needed for the job.
Vega won the Republican primary in June and will be on the ballot in the general election. ForAmerica looks forward to supporting her campaign all the way to victory in November.
