As Joe Biden's declining cognitive state while in office continues to be in the news, White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich said in an interview on Thursday his administration would become abusive if reporters asked about the president's mental health.
Heinrich made her remarks in an interview with her Fox News colleague, Bill Hemmer.
She told Hemmer, “The White House was very effective in maligning anyone who was skeptical about the president’s age and abilities as a bad actor."
"And they abused us, too," she added.
“Sorry, they what?” Hemmer asked, seemingly surprised by Heinrich's 'abuse' remark.
“They abused us!” Heinrich doubled down. “I had people in that press office tell me I was not a good reporter because I was asking questions about these things — with sourcing. And that was sort of the snap reaction a lot of the time, rather than actually going to the people who I got the information from and having them confirm it."
Heinrich added, "They would just like to shut down that discussion.”
White House Senior correspondent Peter Doocy asked about Biden's mental health many times and posted a video on Wednesday of him doing so.
The White House denied that there was any cognitive decline President Biden. Then his party forced him out of the race due to cognitive decline.
You can't make this up.
Doocy and Heinrich were doing their jobs as reporters, asking substantive and important questions to better inform the public. But after Jacqui Heinrich's revelation about how the White House treated reporters who asked those questions, maybe we know now why others might have been hesitant to do so?
What we do know is that the Biden-Harris White House lied over and over again about the true state of Joe Biden's mind, and apparently were nasty to anyone who dared to suggest otherwise.
Good riddance.
