There are polls that show Donald Trump doing well against Joe Biden. There are issues and trends that are favorable toward Trump.

There are also these rallies.

The attendance for Trump's rally in Wildwood, New Jersey on Saturday drew estimates ranging from 80,000 to 100,000!

The year-round population of the beach city of Wildwood - in blue New Jersey - is 5,157 according to the 2020 census.

So obviously many Trump fans from out of town showed up on Saturday.

New Jersey Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew said it was the largest political gathering in the history of the state.

Of course, Trump predicted a big victory for him come November, including New Jersey.

“We’re going to win New Jersey,” he said. “As you can see today, we’re expanding the electoral map because … we’re going to win the state of New Jersey. I think we’re going to win them all. All across America, millions of people, so-called blue states, are joining our movement based on love, intelligence, and a thing called common sense.”

Trump blasted Biden, especially on the economy, “The Biden price hikes are continuing to drain over $1,000 from the typical New Jersey family budget every single month."

“You look at the Afghanistan disaster, you look at the border, you look at the economy — the real economy, not the fake economy — everything [Democrats] touch turns to, what?” Trump asked.

“Sh*t!” the crowd responded.

It was a funny moment, but one with a point.

Trump promised to get to work on day one.

“On Day One, we will throw out Bidenomics, and we will reinstate MAGAnomics. And we’re going to bring manufacturing, tourism and other industries back to New Jersey like we’ve never seen before,” he said.

There is no doubt that there will be many more rallies between now and election day and between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Who will have bigger rallies? Who will have the most energy?

Rally size is not a scientific way to predict an election. But it matters. And it could matter more than anything Team Biden wants to think about right now.
