"The 12 Day War" is... Over?

Israel and Iran have reached a ceasefire thanks to the leadership of President Trump. After nearly two weeks of fighting - mostly Israeli and American bombs falling on Iran's nuclear sites and ballistic missile launchers - Iran launched it's counterstrike against America... Wisely the Iranians let us know in advance what they were doing, so we intercepted all of their missiles.

Though the peace deal now seems to be holding, both Israel and Iran violated the ceasefire almost immediately. When the President was asked about this at a press conference, he didn't mince words: "We basically have two countries that have been fighting so hard for so long that they don't know what the f*** they're doing."

People from across the political spectrum have been urging President Trump not to get involved in another Middle East war, but Trump has now made it clear he doesn't want to get involved in another years-long conflict. After announcing the ceasefire, President Trump dubbed the conflict as "The 12 Day War."

America First Isn't a Slogan, It's a Doctrine

While several conservatives were against involvement in the 12 Day War, it's worth pointing out that their loyalty, love, and priority never stopped being the wellbeing of the United States. Anti-war advocates may have disagreed with how the President handled the situation, but their goals aligned with Trump and with the vast majority of Americans, regardless of how anyone would have liked to handle the situation.

Something we should all be able to get behind is the answer given by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt's when she was asked what the "Trump Doctrine" meant: "America first. Always."

That's not true for every American, unfortunately.

People like Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar do not love America. She does not wish well for America. She does not understand America. Instead, she believes America is turning into one of the "worst countries" in the world. Why? Because the United States has decided to finally enforce its immigration laws. Because the United States has stopped allowing violent rioters to burn our cities to the ground. Because the United States is, finally, putting America first under the Trump administration.

We can disagree about the best path forward for making America great, but there is no room for anti-American propaganda from a Somalian refugee whose priorities lay not with the United States and our people.
