SCOTUS Saves the Day
The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled on a handful of crucial cases that will free up the Trump administration to deliver on many campaign promises. In Trump v. CASA, the Supreme Court held that unelected district judges are not kings and cannot stop the elected President with nationwide injunctions. They can only rule on questions before them with regard to the parties before them.
The importance of this decision cannot be overstated - President Trump will now have the ability to ramp up deportations, end refugee relocation, stop child transgender mutilation, and so much more. All of this without an activist district judge having the power to halt the function of the executive branch with a lower court ruling. Things are looking up!
Draining the Swamp Starts with Pulling the Plug on Swamp Creatures
While the Supreme Court has stopped unelected Leftists from derailing the America-first agenda, we still have other bureaucrats undermining MAGA. The Senate Parliamentarian, Elizabeth MacDonough, who was appointed by Democrat Harry Reid in 2012 recently blocked major parts of President Trump’s "One Big Beautiful Bill." She used the Byrd Rule, which limits the bill to mandatory spending, but MacDonough's very questionable decision strips out key Republican reforms like cutting taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegal immigrants and stopping gender surgeries for minors. An unelected official is now standing in the way of the agenda voters chose, and unless the Senate rewrites the bill to get around her rulings, much of it will be lost.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune has the power to replace MacDonough but has signaled he won't act. That's unacceptable. If Thune does nothing, core goals like a balanced budget, mass deportations, and energy independence may never be achieved. Draining the swamp starts with pulling the plug on swamp creatures that act to undermine the agenda America voted for.
Wins On All Fronts and Unprecedented Peace
Israel and Iran have agreed to a ceasefire after nearly two weeks of fighting, largely due to President Trump's leadership. The conflict, dubbed "The 12 Day War" by Trump, saw American and Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear sites and ballistic missile launchers, followed by an Iranian counterattack that was intercepted after advance warning. Shortly after the ceasefire, though, Israel and Iran violated it by launching drone, missile, and bombing attacks on each other. When Trump was questioned at a press conference, he dismissed the chaos bluntly saying the countries “don’t know what the f*** they’re doing,” while reaffirming his intent to avoid another drawn-out Middle East war.
President Trump "OBLITERATED" Iran's nuclear capabilities, and now they're at the table negotiating a long-term peace. Despite Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of Iran, declaring "victory" after the short conflict, America quickly achieved our objective while avoiding a big war.
Wins on all fronts and unprecedented peace are the headlines this week.
Thanks for reading this week's Cannon. The fight for America’s future continues — online, in Congress, and in culture.
