The View "Hates You"

Partial Transcript:

David Bozell: Alright, the clip of the day comes from ABC's The View. Now, you know these ladies, right?

Co-hosted by Joy Behar, who is currently on a sex strike, guys, because of all this Roe v. Wade stuff. Joy Behar, she might very well be off the market. Just letting you guys know, in case anyone had any plans to maybe contact The View and maybe see about her eligibility. No, nope, nope, no. I think she's on a sex strike to prove her point, whatever that may be, on Roe v. Wade.

But today they're going viral because one of the hosts said that a Black Republican is an oxymoron and she cannot understand why anyone would, why... She can't understand Black Republicans. She can't understand Latino Republicans. Meanwhile, I guess there's a sort of supposed Republican on the dais sitting right next to her who's Latino, so it was kind of fun. You could hear like the, "Whoa, she went there."

Ladies of The View: Chris Cuomo...

So much cackling. If you can just muscle through this.

Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Let's wait, wait, wait. This is not what I came here for, but did I just hear that correctly? So, the girl in the blue [Guest Co-Host Lindsey Granger] here is the supposed Trump supporter. Hold on, I'm going to run that back. Hold on.

Co-Host Ana Navarro: That may be a novel point, a novel idea for somebody who's a supporter of Trump, but there are people who are capable of being relating...

Guest Co-Host Lindsey Granger: There's many things that I don't stand by that Trump did. Trump has done things that are racist. I'm a black woman first.

The supposed Trump... Okay, this is so frustrating! I'm going to get to the point. The real point of this clip was that The View's Sunny Hostin said, "A Black Republican is an oxymoron. I don't understand Black Republicans and I don't understand Latino Republicans."

But I think everyone, what just got lost in the shuffle of this clip that's going around the internet, is that the supposed Trump supporter said, "I think Trump has done some things that are racist." I just got to... She just slipped that in there ever so quickly. Let we just run that one more time here.

Co-Host Ana Navarro: ...but there are people who are capable of being relating...

Guest Co-Host Lindsey Granger: There's many things that I don't stand by that Trump did. Trump has done things that are racist. I'm a black woman first.

That's it, right? That's what she just said? "Trump has done things that are racist." And she's the supposed Trump supporter on The View panel, carrying the torch? Where do they find these people?

I'm not even going to bother trying to find her name. If you're just going to go on national television, allow yourself to be pegged as a Trump supporter, and then just sort of flippantly, almost as if you're... It's as natural as eating, taking a spoonful of soup, whatever, as natural shaving. I'm trying to think of natural things that people would do. She just jumped, dumped in there, "Trump has done some things that are ra..." Okay, alright. But let's just finish this out. Now, I feel stupid here just in playing it.

Guest Co-Host Lindsey Granger: Always understand that. But I do say that I have many conservative values that I will talk to you about.

Oh really? You do, huh?

Guest Co-Host Lindsey Granger: When you look at your network...

Co-Host Sunny Hostin: Are you a Republican?

Guest Co-Host Lindsey Granger: Yes. And when you look at your network that you're standing behind, you're saying that you look at Chris Cuomo...

Co-Host Sunny Hostin: I feel like that's a oxymoron, a Black Republican.

Guest Co-Host Lindsey Granger: You feel like it's an oxymoron? Why? Your friend right here is a Republican.

Co-Host Ana Navarro: We had this conversation many times.

Guest Co-Host Lindsey Granger: You do. You say, you feel like it's an oxymoron that you're Catholic, but you also are pro-life.

Co-Host Sunny Hostin: I don't understand either of you.

Guest Co-Host Lindsey Granger: No, you don't understand yourself then. You have this...

Co-Host Sunny Hostin: I understand myself. I don't understand either of you.

She's [Co-Host Sunny Hostin] so smug.

Guest Co-Host Lindsey Granger: We're having a personal conversation about CNN...

Co-Host Sunny Hostin: I don't understand Black Republicans and I don't understand Latino Republicans.

Notice that the black woman says, "Latino, I don't understand them."

Well, look, on the macro, this is just New York media complex. They have no idea about the rest of America. They have no idea about your values.

She says, "I don't understand Black Republicans. I don't understand Latino Republicans." She might as well have just taken the words Black and Latino out of that, because she just doesn't understand Republicans. She doesn't understand conservatism. She frankly, probably doesn't understand what makes this country tick, what makes this country great.
