Secretary of State Antony Blinken testified before the Senate Homeland Security Committee last week where he had to answer for a few things.
Namely, Afghanistan.
First up to bat, Sen. Ted Cruz - who wanted to know how many names of Americans still in Afghanistan were given to the Taliban.
"Did the State Department give the Taliban a list or multiple list of Americans and or Afghans that we wanted out?" Cruz demanded to know.
Cruz told Blinken point blank how much he and Joe Biden have failed America in how they chose to end the U.S.'s longest war.
Cruz then noted that Biden's Afghanistan botch was a Jimmy Carter-level failure. Actually, Biden's record is worse than Carter's already and he hasn't even been in office a year.
Cruz wasn't the only senator with questions for Blinken.
Sen. Rand Paul wanted to know why the Biden administration would leave billions in American weapons behind for the Taliban.
Good question!
Of course there were no good answers.
Then Paul lectured Blinken on the importance of actually knowing who someone is before the U.S. drone kills them.
Team Biden reportedly killed an aid worker and his family, believing they were instead ISIS-K.
Needless to say most of Blinken's responses were non-answers. Blinken said the Pentagon was still "reviewing" who the target was. Wow. Even the New York Times is ahead of Blinken on this.
But no one should expect any straight answers out of this administration. God help us.
We should trade with the Taliban. We can give them Joe Biden for the release of all those Americans left behind.
Giving them money is absurd!!! biden and his administration need to go... worst people ever...
