Flip a Coin Ohio

Transcript:

David Bozell: I'm trying to figure out what to do. Or if I had a vote, what would I do in this Ohio Senate race? Because I mean, I don't have a dog in the fight. Both guys seem... Mandel and Vance. They both seem fine. I guess the point here, I wouldn't get caught up in... there's a lot of stories in the Washington Press Corps about the infighting between the two camps.

Not just the candidates themselves, but it's really... all the spotlight is on who's endorsing them.

So you got Mandel, Josh Mandel. You got Cruz, you got Mark Levin. I mean, obviously guys that I totally respect, and whose opinions I totally respect.

And then you've got on the other side, with JD Vance. You got Trump. You've got Tucker. So look, I don't know. It seems like a flip of the coin.

I mean, they both got pretty cool backgrounds. Both of them are Marines. I'll give huge props. I was looking for that as, kind of like a tiebreaker, but they end up both being Marines, at least according to their Wikipedia stuff. So, I mean, who got higher up in the ranks? I don't know and I don't care. Just to volunteer for that branch, it carries a lot of weight with me. So at the end of the day, I think no matter who's in there, is going to vote the same way, like 99% of the time.

So I don't know. I'd flip a coin.

I don't feel... this morning I was like, I'd probably vote for Vance, right? Because, why not? Trump sees something in him, and maybe he'd be a loyal soldier to Trump. And if Trump were to run in 2024, he needs ideological partners in the Senate. He didn't have any, or didn't have enough. Not nearly enough during his first term, particularly the Senate. So, that is a leg up.

But I like Cruz, Cruz's endorsement. I tend to want to go where Mark Levin wants to go with some of these endorsements. I mean, he's got a... he's one of our heroes, right?

But I don't feel strongly either way. I really, really don't. I woke up this morning thinking maybe Vance, and then I've switched already to Mandel.

I don't know, flip a coin.

I don't think it's going to make much of a difference. If you want to really see Trump back in there and he ends up running and winning in 2024, I suppose having Vance in there might be a little bit more helpful.

Though, if Ted Cruz is in it to win it with Mandel... and Cynthia Lummis, too. Senator from Wyoming. I really dig her. She's really into Bitcoin and those types of things. She brings a fresh perspective. And that's coming from Wyoming. That's tempting too.

I don't know. Flip a coin.

I just, I wouldn't get caught up in the nastiness between the endorsers. That's one thing. Just pay no attention to that. There's a lot of stories floating around and it just... all that's intended to do is to divide us against each other. Pick your flavor of the month.

If you're in Ohio, if you haven't voted yet, flip a coin.

I think you can't go wrong, let's put it that way. I just don't think you can go wrong, either way.
