Jesus, Take the Wheel: Democrat Senator Wears Mexico Jersey, Not USA's

Just days after the country celebrated its 250th birthday, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly decided the red, white, and blue wasn't for him. The Democrat, widely floated as a 2028 presidential hopeful, showed up to a World Cup watch party in Tucson wearing a Mexico jersey, wife Gabby Giffords matching him in her own, and posted the photos himself, making sure everyone knew exactly who he was rooting for while Team USA was still alive in the tournament.

Here's what he posted, in his own words:

Not a word about the Americans. A sitting U.S. Senator, in an American state, cheering on a foreign country over his own in a tournament his own country is still competing in, with his wife right there cheering along with him. The backlash was immediate and bipartisan, with even a former Atlanta Braves pitcher telling him to "move to Mexico." Kelly hasn't apologized, walked it back, or explained himself. Why would he? He's just showing us who he already was.

Jesus, take the wheel!
