The “Maryland Man” Who Was Never from Maryland

Meet Kilmar Abrego García — the media’s newest “victim.” They call him a “Maryland man.” But he’s not from Maryland. He’s not a U.S. citizen. He’s not even here legally.

García is an illegal alien from El Salvador with alleged ties to the violent MS-13 gang, a terrorist organization. He crossed our border, exploited our asylum system, and was granted temporary protection by an Obama-era immigration judge — despite credible evidence tying him to gang activity. For years, he lived in the U.S. under the radar, shielded by Left-wing immigration loopholes and a media determined to paint him as just another hard-luck case.

Then the Trump administration came in and cleaned house. ICE did what it’s supposed to do — locate, arrest, and deport threats to our national security. García was removed from the country and is now sitting in a maximum-security prison in El Salvador, where President Nayib Bukele has made it crystal clear: he’s not sending him back.

That’s not a mistake. That’s what success looks like when your government puts Americans' safety first.

The Left Melts Down Over a Terrorist's Deportation

Cue the outrage machine. The Left is furious that a known illegal gang member was deported. The media are spinning the story like a tragedy. The Supreme Court told the administration to “facilitate” his return, and now they’re demanding Trump force El Salvador to release him.

Let’s be clear: the Constitution gives the President control over foreign policy — not the courts, and certainly not the press. Trump’s position is simple and correct: we don’t negotiate to bring terrorists back into the country.

And Bukele agrees. He knows exactly who this guy is. In his own words, sending García back would be like “smuggling a terrorist” across borders. When both governments — the U.S. and El Salvador — say he’s a danger, only the American Left is confused.

This isn’t about human rights. It’s about public safety. Kilmar Abrego García is not a folk hero. He’s a foreign criminal who was allowed to stay in this country for far too long. President Trump corrected that mistake — and now the Left wants to reverse it.

Too bad. This time, the bad guy doesn’t get a second chance.
