President Trump Is Doing What Biden Refused to Do
The flash floods in Texas have wrecked havoc on the communities along the Guadalupe River. With the death toll above 120 and over a hundred still missing, there is more critical work to be done. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
If you remember a few years ago when a train derailed in East Palestine, Ohio, the impact was devastating and ongoing. Joe Biden refused to visit. He declined to survey the damage that took place on his watch for over a year. Failed leadership neglects to do the simple things, but effective leadership looks like what President Trump did yesterday. He visited the distressed area, met with victims and public officials, and provided support from Washington.
It shouldn't be noteworthy when a president does what he ought to do, but after four years of Biden being little more than an autopen run by the deep state, even the simple things seem important.
ICE Is Cleaning Up California
California officials are up in arms as the Trump administration dismantles their sanctuary city policies. These policies that provide the blue state with cheap labor, more electoral college representation, and a political cudgel. ICE has been active on the ground, rescuing children from illegal marijuana operations and deporting violent criminals and illegal immigrants more broadly.
When ICE started enforcing the law in California, the Left's response was to riot. Though smaller-scale unrest continues to surface, California leftists are now leaning on activist judges who defy the Supreme Court and continue to place injunctions on the Trump administration's efforts. A cadre of un- American officials are using every tool at their disposal - and some they shouldn't have - to stop the government from rescuing a child slave forced to work on a weed farm. The Left continues to protect criminals who have run rampant through American streets for far too long.
President Trump is putting a stop to it, and whether they like it or not, Californians are beginning to see an improvement in their quality of life. Traffic has long been notoriously bad in California, but for the first time in years, Californians are now noticing faster commutes.
Children rescued, criminals deported, and functioning infrastructure are among the biggest wins California has seen since Ronald Reagan was their governor.
Thanks for reading this week's Cannon. The fight for America’s future continues - online, in the judicial system, in states, in Congress, and in culture.
