The Democrat Shutdown Backfires

The government shutdown drags on after Democrats blocked a clean continuing resolution (CR), insisting on nearly $1 trillion in new spending for Obamacare subsidies, Medicaid, and restrictions on President Trump’s ability to cut waste.

But while Democrats stall, the White House is moving. Russ Vought’s OMB has already frozen billions in projects — from green energy subsidies to blue-state transit schemes — and ordered agencies to draw up Reduction in Force plans that could turn furloughs into permanent layoffs.

This isn’t the old playbook where workers wait to be called back. The administration is treating the lapse as a structural reset: thinning out non-essential programs and reshaping agencies in line with the President’s priorities. Even inside the White House, one-third of staff have been sent home while OMB and core offices remain fully manned.

The Democrats may think they’re winning a standoff, but the reality is the longer they prolong this shutdown, the more power President Trump has to cut, streamline, and permanently downsize Washington’s bloated bureaucracy.

The Military is BACK

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth spoke to service members in Virginia along side President Trump to make a handful of new announcements. "No more dudes in dresses" was among the (somehow) new policies that were discussed.

The President and Secretary of War also informed the military that we will be upholding standards that the Biden administration largely did away with. From clean shaven and clean cut appearances to physical standards ensuring our military is built for lethality — the Trump administration is doing away with the social experiments in our military.

Not only that, but the Trump administration is using force to put a stop to the drug cartels in South America. Just this week, the U.S. military has carried out a few strikes on cartel vessels and are reportedly considering options for strikes on drug strongholds within Venezuela.

There's a new sheriff in town and unlike Biden, President Trump is willing and able to do what is necessary to protect Americans from all of our adversaries around the world.
