The Cannon

Your blast of infotainment from ForAmerica.

House Republicans and Democrats joined together to expel Rep. George Santos of New York. This has been in the works for some time as it has come to light that Santos repeatedly lied about his life - his wife, his race, his college education - and misused campaign finances on things like Botox injections. While this reduces the Republican majority, it's about to get even smaller with former Speaker Kevin McCarthy resigning at the end of December and Rep. Bill Johnson of Ohio set to resign sometime in the spring of 2024. The GOP could be left with a one-seat majority. This week, the House Oversight Committee threatened to hold Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress should he fail to comply with the House subpoena about his shady overseas business dealings that have roped Joe Biden's entire family of crime into the limelight.
